2019 AFI Town Hall Was a Major Success
Armed Forces Insurance hosted a successful and highly-coveted Town Hall event in conjunction with the 2019 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year® (MSOY) awards ceremony in May. Military spouses traveled from all over the world to gather in our Nation’s Capital for AFI MSOY Week.
In addition to hearing from senior leaders in the military community, defense community partners and even a message of encouragement from Second Lady of the United States, Mrs. Karen Pence; attendees used the opportunities MSOY Week provided to network with congressional leaders on behalf of military families like theirs.
This year, we expanded the AFI Town Hall; providing an additional day of networking and professional development. Nearly 200 current and former base, branch, overall Spouse of the Year recipients attended these events, culminating in the big reveal of our 2019 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
AFI’s 2013 Fort Hood Spouse of the Year, Marily Considine, passed away on February 10 of this year after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
