
Chief Master Sergeant Danny R. Walker, Air National Guard, Retired
With 25 years of combined service in the U.S. Air Force and the Kansas National Guard, CMSgt Walker has served both as an active-duty member and a traditional guardsman. Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of roles, including positions in Computer Operations, Aircraft Maintenance Systems Analyst, IT Plans and Programs, Visual Information, and most recently, as a Human Resource Advisor for the Kansas National Guard. In that role, he focused on leadership initiatives, demographic trends, and the development of formal mentoring programs.
After retiring from the Air National Guard in March 2012, CMSgt Walker transitioned to the private sector and currently serves as an IT Manager with Corning. His team specializes in Software Asset Management, leveraging ITIL and industry-standard methodologies to manage key corporate software assets while mitigating risk and maintaining secure computing environments.
CMSgt Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Friends University. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Information Technology Asset Manager (CITAM), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), and holds an ITIL Foundations certification.
He has been a proud member of Armed Forces Insurance since 2011.
