Mr. Kenneth A. Selzer

Mr. Selzer joined the Armed Forces Insurance Board of Directors in July of 2019.

Mr. Selzer was elected as the Kansas Insurance Commissioner in 2014 and served in that position from 2015-2019. He previously worked in the reinsurance industry for more than 30 years, most recently as an Executive Managing Director for Aon in its Reinsurance Solutions Group.

In addition to his credentials as a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Selzer has earned a number of other professional designations, including CPCU, ARe and FLIMI.

Mr. Selzer currently serves on the advisory council for the Kansas State University College of Business and also on the advisory council for KSU’s Center for Risk Management. He is a member of the KSU Foundation Board of Trustees and has been inducted into the KSU Accounting Hall of Fame.

Mr. Selzer serves on the Insurance Policy Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and also on the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board at the USDA.

Mr. Selzer graduated with honors with a B.S. in accounting from Kansas State University. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
