Chief Master Sergeant Danny R. Walker, Air National Guard, Retired

CMSgt Walker joined the Armed Forces Insurance Board of Directors in July 2011.

With a combined effort of 25 years in the U.S. Air Force and the Kansas National Guard, CMSgt Walker has been an active-duty member and a traditional guardsmen holding numerous positions including roles in Computer Operations, Maintenance Systems Analyst for Aircraft Maintenance, Plans and Programs for Information Technology systems, Visual Information and most recently as a Human Resource Advisor for the Kansas National Guard focusing on diversity, demographic shifts, and formal mentoring programs.

Retiring from the Air National Guard in March 2012, CMSgt Walker currently works for Waddell & Reed in the Kansas City area as Manager of IT Asset Management with his team focusing on Hardware and Software Asset Management using ITIL and IT Asset Management methodologies and strategies to manage key corporate IT Assets.

CMSgt Walker earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from FriendsUniversity. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Information Technology Asset Manager (CITAM), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) and certified in ITIL Foundations.
