Colonel Myron J. (Mike) Griswold, United States Army, Retired

COL Griswold has been a member of Armed Forces Insurance since 1974. Initially, he sat on Armed Forces Insurance Subscribers' Advisory Committee from 2000-2006. He served as Subscribers' Advisory Committee Chairman from 2005 to 2006, and again from 2010 to 2012.

COL Griswold's numerous key command and staff assignments during his 30-year career with the U.S. Army included Brigade S-3, Division logistics plans officer, battalion executive officer, battalion commander, division comptroller, Chief of G-3 Plans and Policy for U.S. Third Army/ARCENT, director of academic operations and special assistant to the commandant for leader development, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC). In this last position he served as the Commandant’s point person for the transformation of the Officer Education System (OES).

COL Griswold holds a bachelor of science (BS) degree from the United States Military Academy, a master of science (MS) degree in management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a master of military art and science (MMAS) degree from the U.S. Army CGSC. He also holds a master of business administration (MBA) from the Rockhurst University Executive Fellowship Program. He Is graduate of the U.S. Army CGSC, School of Advanced Military Studies, and the Army War College Fellowship Program.

COL Griswold retired in October 2018 after 15 years as a defense contractor and project manager, working in support of Soldiers in the fields of mission command training and training development. He continues to serve Soldiers and their families as President, Board of Education, Unified School District (USD) 207, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a member of the Association of United States Army (AUSA), and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 56, Leavenworth, KS.
